As locals, Confinement recognised that people are constantly looking for new and exciting things to do in Hamilton, particularly activities where the whole family can get involved.
This is why Confinement collaborated with Woodlands Estate to create the Woodlands Wanderer Scavenger Hunts which can be enjoyed by families, friends and workgroups.
“Not only is great for keeping the kids entertained but it is also perfect for people of all ages,” says Alanah Bunyard, Director of the family-run Confinement Escape Room. It is also very economical, coming at $45 per game for the entire family.
There are two options to get your adventure started. The first is the Woodlands Wanderer – Garden Hunt. With this scavenger hunt, you will venture out into the scenic Woodlands Gardens, solving clues and learning interesting facts as you go. “This fun and unique outdoor activity will get you out and about exploring the beautiful gardens and enjoying nature with your teammates,” says Operation Manager Serenity Zillwood.
The next option is the Woodlands Wanderer – Homestead Hunt. Perfect for rain or shine you will step back in time as you explore the beautiful Woodlands Historic Homestead. Put on your thinking cap and solve clues and learn about the history of the homestead as you go!
You can select either option or go all out make a day of it and do both scavenger hunt options for the ultimate experience.

There is no pre-booking process, just walk in. The Estate is open from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm daily, when open to the public, the last game start is at 2:00 pm.
